Adapting an Integrated Program Evaluation for Promoting Competency‐Based Medical Education

Educational program evaluation can improve the quality of curriculum, instructional methods, and resources provide useful data for making educational decisions policies. Developing implementing a system is essential in competency-based medical education. The purpose this study was to explore establish an adapting integrated model promote First, Evaluation Committee organized, consisting faculty, staff members, students. committee established model, combining Stufflebeam’s Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) process-oriented approach Kirkpatrick’s four-level outcome-oriented approach. applied product CIPP model. then developed criteria, indicators, collection methods according components four levels (reaction, learning, behavior, results) collected analyzed data. Finally, reported results Medical Education Quality Improvement Committee, were used curriculum student selection. To enhance education, identifying deficiencies developing various elements education balanced way through will be needed. Furthermore, it necessary listen opinions stakeholders, work with all members involved communicate decision-makers process evaluation.
